The witch trial that occurred in 1609 in the French Basque region was the last official hunt in Europe, but also the deadliest ever. Based on first hand testimony of the witch hunter Pierre Lancre, and other archives, this film aims to shed light on the real causes and tensions that were behind this mass murder.
