B/W BIG CATS

A film by Mathieu Le Lay
Produced by Bonne Pioche

Synopsis

In this human/ nature documentary the viewer follows photographer Laurent Baheux into the heart of the African bush, on the trail of three fascinating big cats. Altogether, his pictures reveal the animals’ strengths and weaknesses. Active or resting, the lion shows its powerful as well as vulnerable traits. The graceful cheetah is so fast yet so delicate. And there comes the leopard as a silent and ghostly predator. Laurent is ready to capture what the surrounding fragile nature has to offer, without any expectations. He pictures the beauty of the moment, the play of light, the harmony of the atmosphere. But in the end, the big cats remain the stars.
